இன்றைக்கும் நாம் ஏன் சுஜாதாவை மிஸ் செய்கிறோம் தெரியுமா ?? நண்பர் ஒருவர், தான் எழுதிய சிறுகதையை “கொஞ்சம் இம்ரூவ் பண்ணிக் கொடு” என்று சுஜாதாவிடம் கொடுக்கிறார்.  இவர் அதை முழுவதும் மாற்றி, திருத்தி எழுதிக் கொடுக்கிறார். அது நண்பன் பெயரில் வந்ததைக் கண்டு, நாமே எழுதலாமே என்று முயன்று ஒரு கதை எழுதி அனுப்புகிறார். “அதை எழுதும்போதுதான் எனக்கும் வார்த்தைகளைக் கோத்துவிளையாட முடியும் என்று கண்டுகொண்டேன். அப்படித்தான் எழுத்துத் துறைக்கு வந்தேன்” என்கிறார் சுஜாதா. 1963ல் முதல் சிறுகதை. அதற்குப் பிறகு நிற்காமல் ஓடிய குதிரை இது. எழுதாத துறைகள் இல்லை எனலாம். திருக்குறள், புறநாநூறு என்று இலக்கியங்கள் பற்றி எழுதியிருக்கிறார். கிட்னி ட்ரான்ஸ்ப்ளண்டேஷன் (transplantation) பற்றி நாவல் எழுதுகிறார். அதைப் படமாக்கும் விவாதத்தில், “டிஷ்யூ ரிஜக்‌ஷன்னா என்னன்னா..” என்று விஞ்ஞானம் பேசுகிறார். பீத்தோவனின் Symphony பற்றி எழுதுகிறார். உலகப்படங்கள் பற்றி விவாதிக்கிறார். “இதெல்லாம் நாலாயிர திவ்யப் பிரபந்தப் பாசுரங்கள்ல வந்ததுதானே.. உதாரணத்துக்கு..” என்று தாவுகிறார். லிமரிக் சொல்லிக் கொடுக்கிறார். கம்மிங...
